Vintage 1950s Bisque porcelain boy bust by Lefton — 7 1/2" high — #7128. The Lefton company was founded in Chicago in 1941 by Hungarian immigrant George Zoltan Lefton. In 1945, Lefton traveled to Japan and made one of the first business arrangements with Occupied Japan to bring fine Japanese porcelain to the United States. The Lefton name became synonymous with fine china and porcelain. Lefton passed away in 1996 and the company was sold to OMT Enterprises in 2005.
